KIOCL workers seek NMDC merger, meet Steel Minister Kumaraswamy

Some workers who dig iron ore from the ground went to meet an important government leader.

The workers work for a company called KIOCL in Karnataka, India.

They are worried about their company's future.

They asked the government to join their company with a bigger company called NMDC.

They think this will make their company stronger and safer.

The workers also asked for their salaries to be raised.

They want their coworkers who were sent to other states to be allowed to come back home.

The government leader, Steel Minister H D Kumaraswamy, listened to them kindly.

He promised to try his best to keep the company alive and growing.

The workers said they will keep asking until their company is safe.
