Delhi Police arrested seven people for allegedly running an interstate racket that facilitated cheating in a government recruitment examination.
The probe began after a July 26 complaint by Central Sanskrit University, Janakpuri, about unfair means during the LDC Recruitment Examination.
Candidates were caught with customized mobile phones, Bluetooth devices with SIM cards, and nano ear buds allegedly used to receive answers from outside the exam hall.
The alleged mastermind, Sonu Kumar alias Sonu Maan, a fireman, was arrested in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, while allegedly aiding cheating in another exam.
One accused reportedly paid Rs 12 lakh for the devices, and police are probing financial transactions and the syndicate's links to similar cases in other states.
