'Paperwala' Fireman Arrested in Interstate Exam Paper Leak Racket
A fireman from Chandigarh named Sonu Kumar has been arrested by the police.
People called him 'Paperwala' because they say he sold secret exam papers.
Police believe he ran a group that helped people cheat in government job exams.
The group gave students special phones and tiny earbuds.
Students could take pictures of the exam paper and send them to friends outside.
Those friends would send back the correct answers.
Police caught two students during an exam at a university in Delhi.
One student was touching her ear, which hid a small Bluetooth earpiece.
Another student had a tiny camera hidden like a shirt button.
After catching the students, police followed the clues and arrested seven people in all.
Delhi Police arrested seven people, including Chandigarh fireman Sonu Kumar, over an interstate government job exam paper leak racket.
Sonu Kumar, known as 'Paperwala' and 'Sonu Maan', allegedly ran the syndicate for over two years, selling question papers for Rs 8 lakh-Rs 12 lakh.
The investigation began on July 26 when invigilators caught candidates using a Bluetooth earpiece and a phone camera disguised as a shirt button during an LDC exam at Central Sanskrit University in Delhi.
The racket supplied customised phones, Bluetooth devices, SIM cards and nano earbuds to transmit questions and receive answers during exams.
Sonu Kumar was arrested at Dadri Bypass Road in Haryana's Charkhi Dadri district while allegedly trying to arrange a leak for a Haryana government exam.
