Salt Lake’s First Exclusive CNG Station Nears Opening
Salt Lake CNG station: First exclusive outlet nears opening in DD Block, Kolkata - Telegraph India · telegraphindia.com

Salt Lake is getting its first CNG station that only sells CNG.

It is being built near City Centre in DD Block.

The station is almost ready, but it still needs some government permission and safety checks.

Trees near the entrance also need to be dealt with.

The station will be called “Devi” and will be run by women.

Drivers hope it will reduce the long lines at the few existing CNG outlets.

The company says it wants to increase its stations from 49 to 100 by 2029.

Workers are also laying underground pipes to send natural gas to homes.

This home gas service is expected to start next year.

“If the station has gas, there will be such a long queue that I have to wait 30 to 60 minutes. Gas could also finish while waiting.”
