Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Approves Bhopal Bypass, University Changes
The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved several decisions.
One decision is to build a large bypass road around western Bhopal.
The road will be 35.16 kilometres long and have four lanes.
It is expected to cost ₹3,225.51 crore.
Some underpasses are needed because the road passes through the Ratapani Tiger Reserve area.
The Cabinet also appointed retired police officer A Sai Manohar as an adviser to the Chief Minister’s Office.
A technical university was split into three separate universities with new names.
The government also agreed to buy more summer moong from farmers.
The Cabinet approved a 35.16-kilometre, four-lane Western Bhopal Bypass with paved shoulders.
The revised bypass estimate is ₹3,225.51 crore, partly because underpasses are needed in Ratapani Tiger Reserve.
Retired IPS officer A Sai Manohar was appointed Advisor to the Chief Minister’s Office in New Delhi.
Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya was divided into three universities, and “Rajiv Gandhi” was removed from its name.
The Cabinet approved procurement of 60% of summer moong production from farmers, up from 25%.
