Jayakwadi Dam Reaches Full Capacity; Minister Directs Water Use Plan

A big dam called Jayakwadi got completely full because of heavy rains in the Nashik and Ahilyanagar regions.

The dam sits on the Godavari River and holds water in a reservoir called Nath Sagar.

When a dam is full, it means there is plenty of water stored for people to use.

A minister named Sanjay Shirsat visited Paithan to check the dam and perform a special ceremony called Jal Pujan.

He told the water department to make a careful plan for using the water.

The water will be used for farming, factories, and drinking water.

Many farmers and people in the Marathwada region are happy about the full dam.

Another leader, Vilas Bhumre, said the reservoir is like a lifeline for the region.

He said everyone should save water and use it wisely.

People also gave a traditional gift of a sari, choli, and coconut to the Godavari River to say thank you.
