Kisan Karwan 2.0 Opens in Gorakhpur With Farmer Innovation Talks
Kisan Karwan 2.0 is a program where farmers and agriculture experts meet to discuss farming.
Its first large meeting took place in Gorakhpur.
More than 1,300 farmers attended.
People talked about special rice, sugarcane and new farming technology.
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi explained government programs for farmers.
Ten farmers and agriculture workers received awards for their contributions.
A 20-member council was also created to represent farmers.
The next meeting will be held in Jhansi on September 24.
Kisan Karwan 2.0 began in Gorakhpur with support from the Uttar Pradesh government and Kisan Tak.
More than 1,300 farmers attended the first Kisan Mahasammelan at Yogiraj Gambhir Nath Auditorium.
Panels examined Kala Namak rice, sugarcane cultivation and agricultural technology.
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi discussed state schemes and initiatives for agricultural development.
Ten Krishi Veers were honoured, a 20-member Kisan Parishad was formed and the next event was scheduled for Jhansi on September 24.
