India Passes Bill to Crack Down on Exam Paper Leaks
India’s Parliament has passed a new law to stop people from leaking exam papers.
The law says that anyone caught leaking papers can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined up to 50 lakh rupees.
It also creates a special team that must investigate leaks in two months and fast courts that will finish cases in three months.
The Prime Minister said the law is a big step for fairness in exams.
Some opposition leaders, however, think the law is not strong enough and will not stop leaks.
The bill was introduced after students protested about unfair exam practices.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the bill as a milestone for transparency, vowing to crack down on “paper mafia” and “paper leak gang”.
Opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge called the bill incomplete and ineffective in curbing paper leaks.
The bill was introduced after nationwide protests over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.
