Over 12,000 Apply for Delhi University’s One-Year PG Programmes

Delhi University has started offering some postgraduate programmes that take one year.

For the 2026-27 session, 12,111 students applied for these programmes.

There are 5,857 places available across 46 programmes.

The applicants were students from the first four-year undergraduate batch.

These students began their undergraduate studies in 2022-23.

Out of 75,948 students in that batch, 35,943 continued to a fourth year.

Of those fourth-year students, 12,111 applied for the one-year postgraduate programmes.

The university said the new system is meant to reduce paperwork, repeated information, and manual mistakes in admissions.
