Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 pm amid persistent Question Hour disruptions

The Rajya Sabha is one part of India's Parliament where important discussions happen.

On Tuesday, the people in charge of the Rajya Sabha had to pause the session because it was too noisy.

Some members, called the Opposition, were shouting and making it hard to talk.

Other members, called the treasury benches, also started making noise in response.

The Chairman, a person who keeps the House in order, tried to calm everyone down.

He said only certain topics that were already listed could be discussed.

The Leader of the Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge, wanted to talk about other issues, but the Chairman said no.

The Chairman said state-level topics could not be raised every day because they only disrupt the proceedings.

The questions that were supposed to be asked were about renewable energy, the kind of energy from the sun and wind.

Because everyone kept shouting, the Chairman stopped the meeting until 2 p.m.

so everyone could calm down.
