Rajya Sabha adjourned briefly amid Opposition uproar

The Rajya Sabha is one of the two houses of India's parliament, where leaders discuss laws and important issues.

On Monday, many opposition members were upset and wanted to talk about several problems.

They started shouting slogans, making so much noise that the meeting could not go on smoothly.

The chairman of the house, C.P. Radhakrishnan, paused the meeting until noon because of the uproar.

Before the pause, a few members got the chance to speak.

One member talked about a virus called Chandipura spreading in the state of Gujarat.

Another member said the state of Punjab has a big problem with drugs and crime.

A third member asked for rules to stop children below 13 from using artificial intelligence on their own.

The members also shared official reports, like a check on the Bangalore Metro Rail Project and other government work.

The house started again at noon, after the short break.
