India Passenger Vehicle Dispatches Reach Record August High
India Passenger Vehicle Sales Hit Record August High; Dispatches Reach Around 4.5 Lakh Units Ahead Of Festive Season · freepressjournal.in

Car companies in India sent about 4.5 lakh vehicles to dealers in August.

This was the strongest August dispatch total reported in the articles.

It was also much higher than the same period a year earlier.

Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Motor India all reported strong increases.

Kia India and several other companies also sold more vehicles than a year earlier.

Maruti said many customers are still waiting for their cars.

Companies said demand was strong as the festive season approached.

However, growth could slow later because last year’s comparison numbers will be stronger.

Maruti expects the car market to grow by at least 10% in financial year 2027.
