Gemini Makes History: One Billion Users; Pichai Teases Pixel 11

Google made a computer helper called Gemini that you can talk to on your phone.

In just a little over two years, one billion people started using the Gemini app every month.

That is really fast — YouTube took about eight years to reach that many people, and Gmail took more than ten years.

Most new Android phones come with Gemini already on them.

Many people talk to Gemini with their voice, and some even show it their camera or screen.

Gemini can also make pictures, and people ask it to create around 150 million pictures every day.

Sundar Pichai, the boss of Google, says there are more Gemini updates coming soon.

Those updates are expected to come out on the same day as Google's new Pixel 11 phones.

Some other smart AI helpers, like the ones from OpenAI, are giving Google strong competition.

Google also had to delay a smarter version of Gemini because it wasn't good enough at writing code yet.
