Mumbai Ganpati Mandal Takes ₹703 Crore Insurance Cover

GSB Seva Mandal has secured ₹703.27 crore in insurance for its 2026 Ganpati celebrations, up from ₹474 crore last year.
The mandal will hold its 72nd Ganeshotsav at King’s Circle from September 14 to 18.
The Maha Ganpati idol will be decorated with more than 66 kg of gold and 335 kg of silver ornaments.
More than 40,000 people are expected to receive food daily, while over two lakh people may receive prasad during the festival.
Organisers said the idol is eco-friendly and digital receipts will replace printed receipts to reduce paper waste.
