A Ganesh festival in Pune will display a large decoration inspired by Prem Mandir in Vrindavan.

The decoration will show temple designs and scenes from Krishna’s life.

The Ganpati idol will be installed on September 14.

A flower-covered chariot will carry the idol to the festival pavilion.

People can begin visiting for darshan from noon.

Many doctors, ambulances and medical centres will help devotees.

The organisers have also arranged insurance for some accidents and injuries.

Security workers and cameras will monitor the area.

The festival will end with the idol’s immersion on September 25.
