Mumbai Ganeshotsav Decorations Celebrate Warkari Pilgrimage and Saint Tradition

Mumbai is getting ready for Ganeshotsav, a festival honoring Lord Ganesha.

One mandal, or community group, has chosen a special theme called “Vaishnavanchi Wari.”

The theme is inspired by the Warkari pilgrimage in Maharashtra.

It also celebrates the state’s saints and devotion to Lord Vitthal.

The decoration can be seen at the Ganesh Galli Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal.

Other festive displays are being prepared in Lalbaug.

Some of the decorations are made from cardboard to be more eco-friendly.

These displays combine tradition with care for the environment.
