Sonowal Launches Paradip Port PNG Network Over Tea
Sarbananda Sonowal visited Paradip Port to start a new gas network.
The network cost Rs 20 crore.
Instead of holding the launch only on a stage, he went to an employee’s kitchen.
He turned on the gas stove and made tea.
He spoke with workers while the tea was prepared.
The gas supply will first reach 546 homes for port employees.
Workers said the gas could make daily life easier and lower their costs.
Sonowal also listened to their experiences of living in the port town.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched Paradip Port’s new Rs 20-crore piped natural gas network earlier this week.
Instead of using the formal stage, Sonowal activated the network from an employee’s kitchen.
He lit the PNG stove and prepared tea while speaking with port workers.
The initial PNG supply will cover 546 employee quarters and is expected to reduce expenses.
Sonowal also heard employees discuss daily life in the port town.
