Telangana's Three-Month Free Ration Collection Deadline Ends Saturday
Telangana gave families three months of free rice at one time.
The rice was for August, September, and October.
The government did this to make room in warehouses for new paddy purchases.
Many people crowded distribution centers to collect the large amount of rice.
Because of the crowds, officials extended the collection deadline to September 5.
Families that still have not collected their rice must visit their nearest ration dealer immediately.
After the deadline, the earlier supplies will not be available.
People can also complete their ration-card e-KYC using facial recognition on a mobile phone instead of visiting an Aadhaar center.
