MSRTC NCMC card: Over 1 crore passengers register in Maharashtra · thehindubusinessline.com

A big bus company in Maharashtra, India, made a special card called the NCMC smart card.

More than one crore people, which is over ten million passengers, have signed up for the card.

More than 64 lakh cards, over six million, have already been activated and are ready to use.

The card lets passengers pay for bus rides without using cash, making travel easier.

Starting September 1, women, senior citizens, and Amrut senior citizens must use the card when travelling on ST buses.

The Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik, said the huge response shows passengers trust this digital change.

From August 15, school students can also get the card when authorised representatives visit their schools.

MSRTC warned students not to register through unauthorised centres or individuals.

This is a step toward making ticketing modern, cashless, and convenient.
