Ford shifting Lincoln production from China to US starting 2030

Ford is a big company that makes cars.

Some of Ford's fancy Lincoln cars were being built in China, a country far away.

The United States and China are having a big disagreement about trade.

Because of this, America is charging extra money, called tariffs, on things made in China and shipped to the US.

Ford's Lincoln Nautilus car has an extra charge of more than half its regular price.

So Ford decided to build some Lincoln cars in America instead, starting in 2030.

Ford's boss, Jim Farley, said this was a difficult but necessary choice.

Another car company, General Motors, is doing something similar with its Buick Envision.

This way, more cars will be made in the US, and Ford will depend less on China.
