High Court Rejects PIL Seeking CBI Probe Into Mega DSC-2025
A politician from the YSR Congress Party asked a court to order a big investigation into how teachers were hired.
The court, called the Andhra Pradesh High Court, said no for now.
The judges said this kind of petition, called a Public Interest Litigation, should help ordinary people, not be used for politics.
They wondered why the people who were upset about the hiring did not file their own complaints.
The court pointed out that many other people had already filed complaints about the same teacher hiring process.
So the judges doubted whether the politician's petition was really needed.
They asked the politician's lawyer to check whether the petition would continue or be withdrawn.
The state government says the hiring was fair and was done through a secure computer-based test.
The government also says it hired more than 16,000 teachers in less than five months.

A two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Lisa Gill and Justice Medamalli Balaji observed that PILs should not be misused to serve political purposes.
The court noted that 335 petitions challenging various aspects of the recruitment have already been filed, showing candidates have freely approached the judiciary.
The court questioned why candidates allegedly affected under the sports quota had not approached it directly instead of through the PIL.
The bench directed the petitioner's counsel to obtain instructions on whether the PIL would be pursued or withdrawn.
