Teachers Rally in Vijayawada to Counter DSC-2025 Recruitment Allegations
The state of Andhra Pradesh in India needed lots of new teachers.
The government held a big test to choose 16,347 people for teaching jobs.
Thousands of people passed the test and got the jobs.
But a political party called the YSR Congress Party says the test was not fair.
They believe some people may have gotten jobs without deserving them.
The teachers who got the jobs feel sad and angry about these claims.
So they held a big walk to show that they worked hard and earned their jobs.
About 5,000 teachers joined the walk in a city called Vijayawada.
They asked the YSR party to stop saying bad things about them.
Even courts are involved now, with hundreds of cases filed about the test.
About 5,000 teachers recruited under Mega DSC-2025 held a rally in Vijayawada to counter allegations of irregularities in recruitment for 16,347 teaching posts in Andhra Pradesh.
Teachers from erstwhile West Godavari, Krishna and Prakasam districts marched from Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium to Ambedkar Smriti Vanam.
The teachers said they were selected on the basis of merit and demanded the YSR Congress Party stop what they called its 'vicious' campaign.
YSRCP has been demanding a CBI probe into the recruitment process and the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh.
At least 335 court cases have been filed over the recruitment process, including 69 related to the sports quota and three in the Supreme Court.
