NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 Registration Begins August 5
To become a doctor in India, students take a big exam called NEET UG.
After the exam, there is a counselling process to give students seats in medical colleges.
The Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC, helps with this.
On August 5, 2026, MCC opened registration for the first round of counselling.
Students must sign up on the official website mcc.nic.in.
Registration stays open until August 12.
After registering, students can pick their favorite medical colleges between August 6 and August 13.
The results of who gets which seat will be announced on August 17.
There will be four rounds of counselling in total.
Students who want a special JIPMER seat must show proof that they live in Puducherry, or they could lose their seat.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) opened NEET UG 2026 Round 1 counselling registration on August 5 via mcc.nic.in.
The counselling covers the 15 per cent All India Quota seats and 100 per cent seats of deemed/central universities, AIIMS and JIPMER.
Registration and fee payment remain open until August 12, 2026, closing at 3 PM and 6 PM respectively.
Choice filling runs from August 6 until 11 AM on August 13, with choice locking allowed between 4 PM on August 12 and 11 AM on August 13.
Round 1 seat allotment results will be announced on August 17, 2026, and the full process has four rounds including an Online Stray Vacancy Round.
