MCC starts NEET UG 2026 counselling Round 1 registration

Getting into a medical college in India is a big deal, and there is a special system that gives out seats to students.

A group called the Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC for short, runs this system.

On August 5, 2026, the MCC began letting students register for the first round of seat selection.

Students sign up online and tell the MCC which medical schools they would like to join.

This year, MCC introduced a new rule to make things easier.

If a student gets a seat but wants to try for a better one, they can upload their documents online.

They do not have to visit the college in person for every step anymore.

Students must pay a fee when they register, and the amount is different for different groups.

The results of the first round will be announced on August 17, 2026.
