Delhi Speaker urges swift action on CAG audit reports
In Delhi, there is a person called the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, whose job includes helping the government work better.
His name is Vijender Gupta, and he talked about special reports made by the CAG.
The CAG is a team that checks how the government spends public money.
Sometimes these reports find mistakes or problems in how money was used.
Mr. Gupta said these reports should not just sit on shelves as records of old problems.
Instead, they should be used like a map to help the government improve.
A committee called the PAC already studied the reports from last year and gave its suggestions.
Mr. Gupta wants government departments to act on those suggestions quickly and show what steps they have taken.
He hopes the reports from this year will also be studied by the end of 2026.

He directed the Assembly Secretariat to forward PAC reports to departments so Action Taken Notes could be submitted promptly.
