CAG Report Details Rs 3,500 Crore Irregularities Under Kejriwal Government

A special report called the CAG report checks how the Delhi government in India spends public money.

A minister named Parvesh Sahib Singh told reporters that this report found big problems in how money was handled.

He said the old Delhi government, led by Arvind Kejriwal, may have mishandled about 3,500 crore rupees.

He said the old government gave contracts without following proper rules, and paperwork for most of those contracts has gone missing.

He also said some businesses were allowed to avoid paying taxes for a long time.

He claimed some people received electricity subsidies even though their bills were zero for a whole year.

He said building a hospital cost much more money than planned.

These are accusations made by a minister from the current government, so we do not know yet if they are true.

The party of the old government, called AAP, has not yet given any reply.

The minister says the matter should be looked into further.
