Delhi CM joins Tiranga Yatra, urges residents to hoist Tricolour
Two big flag walks happened in Delhi.
On Tuesday, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, walked with leaders inside the Delhi Assembly grounds.
On Wednesday, she joined another walk at Kartavya Path, a famous road in the city.
Many ministers and lawmakers walked with her, carrying the Indian national flag, called the Tiranga.
Thousands of young people joined the walk on Kartavya Path and chanted 'Vande Mataram.'
The walk in the Assembly began at a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and ended at a statue of B. R. Ambedkar.
Rekha Gupta said the flag stands for India's pride and the brave people who won freedom for the country.
She asked everyone in Delhi to put the Tricolour on their homes.
This is part of a campaign called 'Har Ghar Tiranga,' which means 'a flag in every home.'
She wants Independence Day to feel like a big celebration for everyone.

The Assembly march went from the statue of Mahatma Gandhi to the statue of B R Ambedkar, while thousands of youths chanted 'Vande Mataram' at Kartavya Path.
BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union minister and Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, ministers, MLAs and the Assembly Speaker joined the events.
Gupta urged Delhi residents to hoist the Tricolour at their homes under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
She called the Tricolour a symbol of India's pride, honour and the sacrifices of freedom fighters, reflecting the resolve of 'Nation First.'
