Hyundai Reaffirms India’s 26-Model Vehicle Roadmap Through 2030

Hyundai is a car company planning a large expansion in India.

It wants to launch or update 26 vehicles there by 2030.

Seven of these will be completely new types of vehicles for the company.

The first major new model is an electric SUV designed and localised for India, planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Hyundai also plans a new petrol-powered mid-size SUV.

The company expects SUVs to make up 80% of its Indian sales by 2030.

It plans to build 320,000 more vehicles each year in India and use about 90% or more locally sourced content.

Hyundai will offer several kinds of engines and electric systems because customers in different markets are adopting electric vehicles at different speeds.

It also plans to expand globally and begin making robots with Boston Dynamics in 2028.
