Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric India Launch Set For November 4
Mercedes-Benz will bring an electric version of its GLC SUV to India.
The launch is planned for November 4, 2026.
People can start booking the vehicle in the first week of October.
The SUV will be assembled in Pune instead of being imported as a fully built vehicle.
It will have two electric motors that power all four wheels.
Mercedes says it can travel up to 715 kilometers on one charge under WLTP testing.
It can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds.
The vehicle also has a large screen across much of the dashboard and supports very fast charging.
It will compete with other luxury electric SUVs such as the BMW iX3 and Audi Q6 e-tron.
Mercedes-Benz will launch the all-electric GLC in India on November 4, 2026, ahead of Diwali.
Bookings are scheduled to open in the first week of October, with local assembly at the Chakan plant in Pune.
India will initially receive the standard-wheelbase GLC 400 4MATIC with a 94 kWh battery and dual-motor all-wheel drive.
The SUV produces around 483-489 bhp and 800 Nm, reaches 100 kmph in 4.3 seconds, and offers up to 715 km of WLTP range.
The GLC Electric will compete in the premium electric SUV segment against models including the BMW iX3 and Audi Q6 e-tron.
