Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric Brings 715km Range to India
Mercedes-Benz plans to bring its new electric GLC SUV to India by the end of 2026.
Bookings are expected to start in the first week of October 2026.
The first version will be called the GLC 400 4MATIC and will be assembled in India.
It uses a large 94kWh battery and two electric motors.
The company says it can travel up to 715 km on a full charge under WLTP testing.
A very powerful charger can take the battery from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.
The SUV can carry luggage in both its main boot and front storage space.
Inside, a very large screen combines several displays.
Its cameras, radar and sensors can help with driving and parking tasks, depending on the market and equipment.
Mercedes-Benz will open bookings for the GLC Electric in India in the first week of October 2026, with deliveries planned by year-end.
The India-spec GLC 400 4MATIC will be locally assembled and use a 94kWh battery with dual motors and all-wheel drive.
The electric SUV produces 489 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, with a claimed 0-100 kmph time of 4.3 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz claims a WLTP range of up to 715 km and 10-80% DC fast charging in 22 minutes at up to 330kW.
The GLC Electric includes a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, optional rear-wheel steering, AIRMATIC air suspension and MB.DRIVE safety systems.
