Ex-Servicemen Picket Vellore Collectorate Demanding Kendriya Vidyalaya School

Some retired soldiers in India went to a big government office in Vellore to ask for a special school.

This school is called Kendriya Vidyalaya, and it is made for children of army families.

The soldiers stood in front of the office and held a peaceful protest.

There are more than 30,000 soldiers and retired soldiers living in Vellore and Tirupattur districts with their families.

Their families have been asking for this school for more than 40 years.

A group called the Federation of All Associations of Former Armed Forces Personnel organised the protest.

The leaders who spoke for the soldiers were P. Vinayagamurthy and Thandapani.

After the protest, the soldiers gave a paper called a petition to the office.

They hope the government will help build the school for military children.
