Tamil Nadu raises fishing ban relief, unveils deep sea support

The government of Tamil Nadu gives money to fishing families every year when they cannot fish.

This money is called relief, and it helps them buy food and other things.

Before, each family got Rs 6,000, but now they will get Rs 7,000.

Almost two lakh families will get this extra help.

The government has kept Rs 135 crore to pay for it.

The Finance Minister announced this when he shared the government's new Budget.

Fishing is hard work, and some times of the year fishing is not allowed or is too expensive.

The government also wants to help fishermen catch fish in the deep sea, far from the shore.

It will give interest support to families that buy new deep-sea fishing boats.

These boats have machines to keep the fish fresh.

This way, fishermen can earn more money and catch better fish.
