Indian Railways plans to add a third Vande Bharat train between Jammu and Srinagar.

The train will stop at Udhampur.

The plan follows requests from people living in the area.

It will give passengers another way to travel.

It may also let more people use trains between the two cities.

Two Vande Bharat trains already run four services on this route.

They first began running between Katra and Srinagar on June 6, 2025.

From April 30, 2026, they were extended to Jammu Tawi.

The current journey between Jammu Tawi and Srinagar takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes.
