Post-Mortem Held for Doctor Run Over by Allegedly Drunk Youths
A young doctor named Dr Kanike Priyanka was hurt very badly when a car ran over her.
Two young people who were reportedly drunk were driving that car.
The accident happened on August 3 in a place called Rajamahendravaram.
She was taken to a hospital called KIMS for treatment.
Sadly, about a week later, on Sunday, she passed away.
On Monday, doctors at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad carried out a post-mortem to examine her body.
Her family will hold her final rites at Eklaspur village in the Jogulamba Gadwal district.
Government leaders, including a minister and an MLA, met her father to offer their condolences.
People in her home district are feeling very sad about her death.
The post-mortem examination of Dr Kanike Priyanka was conducted at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday.
Dr Priyanka, 29, died at KIMS hospital on Sunday, nearly a week after being injured in Rajamahendravaram.
She was run over by a car driven by two allegedly drunk youths on August 3.
Her last rites will be performed at Eklaspur village in Aiza mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal district.
Minister Vakiti Srihari, Rajahmundry Urban MLA Srinivas, and other leaders offered condolences to her father.
