Panel Urges Natural Tourism Development Along Konaseema Coast
D.N. Ramesh asked the tourism minister to improve several coastal places in Konaseema district.
The area stretches from Chollangi Revu to Antarvedi.
He wants better bathing ghats and other facilities for visitors.
These improvements should be ready before the Godavari pushkaralu in 2027.
The region has temples, river meeting points, mangrove forests and islands.
Ramesh suggested using boats to show tourists the coast and mangroves.
He also asked the government to make Hope Island a major tourism hub.
He said the government could study air travel services as well as boat services.
Temples Protection Samithi Convener D.N. Ramesh urged Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh to develop coastal tourism sites.
The proposed development would cover the coast from Chollangi Revu to Antarvedi in Konaseema district.
Ramesh called for restored bathing ghats and other infrastructure for devotees and tourists before the 2027 Godavari pushkaralu.
His representation cited the area’s historical, spiritual and ecological importance, including river confluences, mangrove forests and islands.
He suggested tourist boats, expanded facilities at Hope Island and possible air services alongside coastal boat routes.
