Sri Sathya Sai District Marks World Tourism Day Celebrations
Sri Sathya Sai district celebrated World Tourism Day at a very large banyan tree called Thimmamma Marrimanu.
The event took place near Gootibailu village in Kadiri mandal.
Leaders announced plans for a botanical garden at Eswaramalai.
The garden will have special medicinal and native plants from Rayalaseema.
Students and visitors will be able to learn about plants and nature there.
People also joined a nature walk and watched traditional performances.
An “Ask AI” app was opened at the site’s entrance.
Officials said everyone should help protect tourist places and keep them free of plastic.

Kadiri MLA Kandikunta Venkata Prasad and collector K. Shyam Prasad unveiled a botanical garden foundation stone at Eswaramalai.
The planned garden will feature rare medicinal and native plants from the Rayalaseema region.
An “Ask AI” app was inaugurated, while participants joined an Eco-Heritage Walk and traditional performances.
Officials urged public participation in protecting tourism assets and developing destinations as plastic-free sites.
