Flood Levels Recede in Sabari as Dowleswaram Sees Rise
Water levels in the Sabari River were going down in Chinturu.
However, water levels farther downstream near Polavaram and Dowleswaram were going up.
Officials released a large amount of water from Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage.

Flood levels were rising at the Polavaram project and Dowleswaram barrage, with 6.70 lakh cusecs discharged by evening.
Discharge from Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage was expected to reach 9 lakh cusecs by Monday, but no first warning was expected.
Road submergence halted traffic on NH 326 and transport between VR Puram and Chinturu.
Authorities deployed boats, opened 136 rehabilitation centers, prepared teams for 161 villages, and moved 124 pregnant women to hospitals.
