Andhra Pradesh Targets World-Class Tourism With Better Connectivity
Andhra Pradesh wants more people from around the world to visit the state.
A Union minister said it has beautiful natural places, spiritual sites and cultural attractions.
Officials are working to make travel easier by improving airports and adding seaplane services.
The state also wants to develop new kinds of tourism, such as eco-tourism and adventure tourism.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh said the current government is giving the sector more attention.
He said better facilities will be built at tourist destinations.
A new project called ‘The Godavari Calls’ will connect culture, spirituality and heritage.
It will also share information about the Godavari Pushkaram planned for 2027.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has the resources to become a world-class tourist destination.
The state is promoting wellness, eco, adventure, helicopter and seaplane tourism initiatives.
The government plans to improve air connectivity, establish new airports and introduce seaplane services.
Officials said tour operators and other travel stakeholders are important to the sector’s growth.
The ‘The Godavari Calls’ initiative will highlight spirituality, culture, heritage and the 2027 Godavari Pushkaram.
