China Warns Nepal Barrier Lake Could Breach Within 72 Hours
A glacier collapse and mudslide caused huge floods near Nepal and Tibet.
The rushing water carried mud and rocks into rivers and damaged homes, roads and power projects.
The debris also blocked a river and created a new lake.
This lake already contains about 2 million cubic metres of water and is overflowing.
Officials think another 3 million cubic metres could enter it within three days.
If the barrier breaks, a large wave of water could rush downstream.
Many people have died or are missing, but agencies have reported different numbers.
China and Nepal are watching the lake and sending rescue workers.
Villages in dangerous areas on the Tibetan side have been evacuated.
