Guntur launches Thalli Bidda Express vehicles for mothers, newborns
A minister in a place called Guntur helped start a new special vehicle service called the Thalli Bidda Express.
This service is made for mothers before and after they have babies.
The vehicles take new mothers and their babies safely back home from the hospital.
They also bring pregnant women to the hospital for doctor check-ups.
All 18 of these vehicles in Guntur are brand new and have air conditioning.
They have six airbags, GPS tracking to find the vehicle, and an SOS button for emergencies.
There is also a special phone line called '102' that people can call for help.
The minister even helped a mother and her newborn get into one of the vehicles and wished them a safe trip home.
He also showed a new poster to spread awareness about health and AIDS, made by the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh and Guntur East MLA Naseer Ahmed flagged off new Thalli Bidda Express vehicles in Guntur.
The vehicles will transport postnatal mothers and newborns home and bring pregnant women and high-risk cases to hospitals for antenatal check-ups.
All 18 vehicles allotted to Guntur district are brand new, air-conditioned, and equipped with six airbags, GPS tracking, an SOS button and a '102' call centre facility.
Minister Durgesh personally helped a postnatal mother and her newborn board a vehicle and saw them off on their journey home.
Durgesh also unveiled the 'Arogyakaradeepika' poster prepared by the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society.
