The Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (AP SACS) is looking into a case where a woman was wrongly told she had HIV.

This mistake caused her and her family a lot of trouble for four years.

The society has appointed an officer to investigate and find out what went wrong.

They also did new tests, which showed that the woman does not have HIV.

The society says that sometimes, even without HIV, certain conditions can make the test show a false positive result.

The officer has to give a detailed report by February 5, 2026.
