Nandyal Plans Foolproof Ganesh Chaturthi Idol Immersion Arrangements
Nandyal district is getting ready for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations starting on September 14.
Officials want the celebrations and idol immersions to happen safely.
They will work together and use lessons from earlier festivals.
People are being encouraged to use clay idols that cause less pollution.
Roads on important procession routes will be repaired.
Five places at Chinna Cheruvu will be prepared for immersing the idols.
These places will have lights, clean water, medical help, boats, swimmers, and rescue equipment.
Police will manage traffic and watch the routes with cameras.
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Nandyal district are scheduled to begin on September 14.
District Collector G Rajakumari ordered departments to coordinate safety and festival preparations.
Officials were directed to promote eco-friendly clay idols, including 2,500 recently distributed with Pollution Control Board support.
Five immersion points will be established at Chinna Cheruvu, with lighting, sanitation, water, medical camps, and emergency equipment.
Police will map routes, regulate traffic, monitor sensitive areas, and use CCTV through the Command and Control center.
