GHMC Expands Safety Plans for Hyderabad Ganesh Festival
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is preparing Hyderabad for the Ganesh festival.
The celebration starts on September 14, and many idols will be immersed on September 25.
Officials will pay special attention to newly added areas where many people and idols are expected.
The GHMC will work with the police, fire services and other government departments.
They will check procession routes, traffic, roads, electricity, water, cleanliness and medical help.
Workers will provide toilets, sanitation services and fogging.
Cranes, boats, swimmers, ambulances and emergency equipment will be available.
Control rooms will watch the arrangements and help solve problems quickly.
Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chavithi, will be celebrated on September 14, with idol immersion scheduled for September 25.
