Telangana's RRR South Section Awaits Centre Approval on Alignment
The Regional Ring Road is a large road planned around Hyderabad.
Its northern part is already being taken up by the central government.
The southern part is still waiting for approval.
Telangana has sent the route plan to the Centre.
The Centre says it has not yet decided on the alignment.
The state also wants the southern part included in a central road scheme.
The proposed southern road would be 201 kilometres long and pass through 55 habitations.
If completed, the full road could improve travel and support industrial growth around Hyderabad.
The Centre has not yet approved the proposed alignment for Telangana’s 201-km RRR south section.
The south section has not been included under Bharatmala Pariyojana or another central scheme.
Telangana wants the south section built alongside the 161.51-km northern stretch.
The proposed six-lane expressway would connect Thangadpalli near Choutuppal with Sangareddy.
The project would require about 2,010 hectares and pass through 55 habitations.
