AIIMS Land Approval Advances Guntur Road Extension Projects
The government wants to build a road connecting E-13 Road with NH-16.
Part of the planned route needs 3.34 acres of land belonging to AIIMS Mangalagiri.

AIIMS is supposed to receive 10 acres of different land in return.

A separate 4.25-kilometre Inner Ring Road project in Guntur is moving ahead after earlier delays.
Some extra work may be needed to move high-voltage wires and build culverts for water flow.
Farmers whose land was used for channel-extension work are also due compensation.
Officials said ₹17.09 crore was prepared for 51 farmers and another ₹14 crore is pending.
The Union health ministry approved in principle the use of 3.34 acres of AIIMS Mangalagiri land for the E-13 Road Extension Corridor linking E-13 Road with NH-16.
The district administration was asked to provide AIIMS Mangalagiri 10 acres of alternative land and complete the handover of another 6.04 acres pending from its State Government allocation.
The 4.25-kilometre Mahatma Gandhi Inner Ring Road Phase-3 from Shilparamam to Pedapalakaluru is being built at a cost of ₹48 crore.
Officials said rehabilitation and other delays affecting the Inner Ring Road project had been resolved, though power-line shifting and additional culverts may add costs.
Five compensation bills totaling ₹17.09 crore were prepared for 51 farmers, with another ₹14 crore in pending compensation expected to be released.
