Newly Hired Petrol Pump Employee Flees With ₹90,000 in Indore
A man named Vijay Singh got a new job at a petrol pump in the city of Indore, India.
It was his very first day of work.
That evening, the workers were putting the day's money away.
Suddenly, Vijay was nowhere to be found.
He had taken ₹90,000 of the pump's money and run away.
The police are now looking for him.
They registered a theft case and are searching possible locations.
His phone was switched off, so they could not reach him.
In another town called Chhatarpur, robbers stole gold, silver, and a licensed gun from a petrol pump owner's house.
Police are investigating both cases.
Vijay Singh, newly hired at Usharaj Petrol Pump in Indore's Mahunaka area, allegedly fled with ₹90,000 of the day's sales collection on his first day at work.
He reported for duty around 11 am on July 21 and was found missing around 11 pm while staff were depositing the day's petrol sales at the counter.
Annapurna police registered a theft case and launched a search after supervisor Ashish Chauhan submitted a written complaint.
The accused had sought employment on July 20, submitted his Aadhaar card and trained before being hired; his mobile phone was found switched off.
In a separate incident in Chhatarpur, thieves made off with about 10 tolas of gold, silver jewellery and a licensed double-barrel gun from a petrol pump owner's house overnight on March 29.
