Chouhan approves 2.89 lakh houses worth Rs 3,473 crore
A big government leader named Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited a place called Baran in Rajasthan.
He gave approval for almost 2.9 lakh new houses for poor families.
These houses will cost about Rs 3,473 crore.
He also gave money for farming projects.
More families can now get help, like families that own a two-wheeler.
Women who earn up to Rs 15,000 a month can also qualify.
Farmers with small farms can get help too.
He said farmers will still get cheap fertilizer.
He also said new rules will be made to stop fake seeds and pesticides.
He asked people to work together to make Rajasthan better.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved 2,89,355 pucca houses under PMAY-G for Rajasthan with an outlay of Rs 3,473 crore.
He also approved Rs 340.59 crore for agricultural development initiatives and the PM-RKVY scheme.
Eligibility criteria were relaxed: two-wheeler owners, women earning up to Rs 15,000 per month, and small farmers with up to 5 acres of unirrigated or 2.5 acres of irrigated land now qualify.
A survey of 29,13,749 new beneficiaries was completed under PMAY-G, with houses to be sanctioned after physical verification.
Chouhan announced stronger pesticide and seed legislation for the next Parliament session and said farmers will continue to receive urea at Rs 266 per bag.
