A city government called the Panvel Municipal Corporation, or PMC, helps take care of people who live in Panvel.

On August 10, it held a meeting to check on the programs that help women and children.

The meeting was led by Mamta Pritam Mhatre, the head of the Women and Child Welfare Committee.

They talked about giving free healthcare to mothers and newborn babies.

They also discussed giving more money to help cancer patients and setting up special Hirkani rooms.

The group talked about school scholarships for children who lost their parents and for children of single mothers.

They want to make sure every family that needs help can actually get it.

To support women who run small businesses, they are planning a Modak and Puranpoli Festival in 2026.

They are also holding a cultural celebration called the Shravan Mahotsav on August 18.

All of these plans are meant to help women and children stay healthy, get an education, and become stronger.
