South Central Railway Wins Six National Energy Efficiency Awards
South Central Railway received six awards for saving energy.
The awards were presented at a national energy-management summit in Hyderabad.
Kacheguda station received the highest recognition, called the “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” award.
Five other railway establishments also received energy-efficiency awards.
These included offices, a hospital, a training institute and workshops.
The awards recognised their continued efforts to conserve energy.
Additional divisional railway manager Rama Rao accepted the awards for South Central Railway.
Senior railway officials congratulated the teams.
South Central Railway won six awards at the 27th CII National Excellence in Energy Management 2026 summit in Hyderabad.
Kacheguda station received the “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” award.
Five other South Central Railway establishments were recognised as “Energy Efficient Units.”
The recognised establishments included Lekha Bhavan, Central Hospital at Lalaguda and the Zonal Railway Training Institute at Moula Ali.
Rail Bogie Karkhana at Yadgir and the Signal and Telecom Workshop at Mettuguda also received awards.
