Modi unveils India's soft power, sports vision on Independence Day

Every year, India's leader gives a speech from a famous old fort called the Red Fort on Independence Day.

This year was India's 80th Independence Day.

The Prime Minister told the country that India should become a strong, developed nation by 2047.

He shared a plan with seven parts, like a rainbow with seven colors.

The parts include making things in factories, farming, new technology, better roads, strong defense, protecting nature and oceans, and sharing India's culture with the world.

He said yoga has connected people across the world to India.

He also spoke about Ayurveda, an old Indian way of staying healthy, and wants to share it globally.

He wants the world to enjoy Indian movies, cartoons, video games, and digital art, and mentioned a big event called the WAVES Summit.

He said India has more than 100 national parks and wants more tourists to visit.

He also said India will host big sports events like the Commonwealth Games in 2030 and may try to host the Olympics in 2036.
